The north of Morocco, despite receiving not as much of consideration compared to the south, enjoys countless attractions that still need to be explored. An alliance between antique cities, astonishing views and marvellous seafront, the north is a pleasure to the eye. This trip combines Rabat, Meknes and Fez; three of the imperial cities, the North’s bride Tangier, the vivid Chefchaouen and the coastal port El Jadida.
This Trip consists of 4 nights in Fez, 2 nights in Chefchaouen, 2 nights in Tangier
Once you arrive at Fes International Airport, you will be met by your driver who will take you for the short drive to your boutique Riad, where you will be warmly greeted and welcomed. After check in, you will take time to familiarise yourself with your room and enjoy the facilities the Riad can offer. This evening you will have the chance to wander around the labyrinth of streets in the old medina of Fes, before you enjoy some of the delicacy of the gastronomy of this wonderful imperial city.
Good morning Fes! Time to close the civilisation doors behind you, get on the magic carpet and fly through the labyrinths of Fes. Led by a professional knowledgeable local guide, you will discover thousands of years of history in a city that has always enjoyed high intellectual and religious status. The medina in Fes is one of the largest in the World. In its immense and confusing warren of souks are thousands of craftsmen with their tiny shops opening onto the narrow alleyways. Noisy and pungent, hot and claustrophobic, the medina of Fes is a totally absorbing and unique experience.
Behind each piece of craft is a story. A story of the life of a person that shaped the way the city looks like. Your Professional Guide will explain to you how each piece become a landmark. You will understand the history of the place and people just by understanding their craft.
Welcoming a new day with fresh air blown from the Middle Atlas Mountains all the way to our beautiful terrace, where you will have your breakfast, is just a wonderful feeling!
Today, you will head to the second Imperial City Meknes, a city in northern Morocco, very close to Fes. It’s known for its imperial past, with remnants including Bab Mansour, a huge gate with arches and mosaic tiling. The gate leads into the former imperial city. The Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail, who made the city his capital in the 17th century, has courtyards and fountains.
Most importantly, you will have the chance to witness the architecture and the power of Roman Empire through the excavated Roman city of Volubilis. We then drive back to your Riad in Fes. Time to relax and pack for the great few days ahead of you !
After enjoying your traditional breakfast at, your driver will pick you up and drive you to Chefchouen. It is just about a 4 hour drive but of course you will have couple of breaks to relax and enjoy the exhilarating nature and landscape of the country before reaching ChefChaouen. Driving through the Rif Mountains to get to the “Blue Pearl”, you will enjoy the picturesque landscape of North Morocco which will give you a most adventurous, exhilarating and memorable day!
The morning is all yours to explore the city at your own pace. You will meet some wonderful local craftsmen who will be delighted to show you the best they can offer, and you will have a chance to taste some local delicacies! You will also have the chance to walk the Bridge of God in the most alluring place Akshour waterfalls if the weather allows.
On your seventh day of this alluring trip, you will head to Tangier; a well-known city for its international status during the colonization era as well as for the international writers . Founded in the 5th century, it is a vivid city situated where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean in the northwest of Morocco. The Boughaz capital is a loved tourist destination for its Medina, Dar el Makhzen, Galerie d'art contemporain Mohamed Drissi, Café Hafa, Parc Perdicaris, Caves of Hercules among others.
You will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned minibus for a private sightseeing tour of Tetouan, one of the most charismatic cities in Morroco. Once you arrive in there, you will be taken on a walking tour through the UNESCO-listed old town and Tetouan's bustling modern neighborhoods. You will be helped to explore the winding lanes of the souk along with Jewish and Spanish quarters and all of this will be accompanied with the stories about Moroccan life and culture. Before returning to Tangier, you will see impressive whitewashed buildings with a dramatic mountain backdrop and Spanish-influenced architecture with colourful glimpses of daily life.
After enjoying your breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and head back to Fes. But before that and just after a short drive south Tangier, you will stop in Asilah. A Portuguese fortress built more than 500 years. This charming town offers an exciting experience for art and antiquity lovers with its ancient yet frequently restored ramparts and gates, its captivating shops and patios extended along its cobbled streets with no traffic and its annual celebrations of arts.The town overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and has two main gates Bab el-Kasaba and Bab el-Homar giving access to a pleasant medina to walk around and enjoy the fascinating sunset along its ramparts. If you want to try something different than Moroccan foods for lunch, you will quite easily find some fine Spanish seafood on offer.
After this lovely stop, you will continue your trip to you destination for today , Fes.
Today is the day you say goodbye to this beautiful warm country. After your breakfast, your driver will take you today to your departure Airport to catch up your flight home in time.
